Prior to joining the Ramones\, Marky played with an array of influential musicians dating back to his high school years when he was a member of the Brooklyn based hard rock band\, Dust. Recording two albums with his friends\, Richie Wise (guitar and vocals) and Kenny Aaronson (bass) for Neil Bogart’s Karma Sutra/Buddha label. \nWhile Dust was disbanding\, Marky began hanging out at Max’s Kansas City\, where he met Max’s house D.J. Wayne County. He joined forces with Wayne to form Wayne County and The Backstreet Boys. Wayne’s outrageous stage performance and cross-dressing attracted many fans and help solidify a cult following. After a year and a half of playing in the New York area and not able to generate record company interest\, they decided it was best to move on. \nIn 1976\, Marky was introduced to Richard Hell. Along with Bob Quine and Ivan Julian\, they formed Richard Hell & the Voidoids. The Voidoids released their groundbreaking debut album in 1977 on Sire Records\, entitled “Blank Generation”. Shortly after the Voidoids historic U.K. tour with The Clash\, Marky found himself at the bar at CBGB with Dee Dee Ramone. Dee Dee asked him if he would be interested in joining The Ramones. \nThe spring of 1978\, Marky joined the Ramones. In a matter of weeks he was in the studio recording his first album with The Ramones entitled\, “Road to Ruin”\, which features one of the biggest Ramones songs “I Wanna Be Sedated”. The following year the Ramones filmed the cult classic “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School”. Later that year\, they joined forces with producer legend\, Phil Spector to record “End Of The Century”. \nAfter several tours and a two more studio albums\, Marky was asked to leave the band 1983\, only to rejoin his band mates in 1987 until they decided to call it quits in 1996. His tenure with the Ramones spanned a total of 15 years. Performing over 1700 shows and more than 15 releases\, including songwriting credits on both Mondo Bizarro and Adios Amigos\, the bands farewell release. \nIn 2000\, Marky reunited with long time friend Joey Ramone for Joey’s solo effort “Don’t Worry About Me”. In 2001\, Marky along with his former band mates (Johnny\, Dee Dee and Tommy)\, were inducted into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame. That same year\, U2’s Bono presented the Ramones with the MTV’s Lifetime Achievement Award. \nThe DVD release\, “Raw”\, a compilation of mostly home videos filmed predominantly by Marky was release in 2004 and entered the Billboard video chart at number 5. Certified gold in three countries and currently the best selling Ramones DVD release to date. \nIn the spring of 2009\, Marky launched a capsule collection clothing line with Hilfiger Denim. In 2010\, Marky shared his recipe for pasta sauce by introducing Marky Ramone’s Brooklyn’s Own Pasta Sauce. \nIn February 2010 The Ramones received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. It was the first Grammy for the punk rock pioneers. \nIn early 2010 Marky Ramones Blitzkrieg with Michale Graves released their first single “When We Were Angels” with former member of Sheer Terror\, Mark Neuman\, playing bass and guitar. \nWith no signs of slowing down\, Marky Ramone continues to tour the world with his band\, Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg\, featuring various lead vocalists including Andrew W.K. and Michale Graves. \nMarky is currently in his eighth year as a D.J. on SiriusXM Satelldite Radio hosing “Marky Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkrieg”. DESCRIPTION:Showdown presenterar \nBABIAN – på scen 00.00\nBabians fjärde fullängdsalbum släpptes i maj 2017 på Hep Town Records och är titulerad  ”Den andra sidan” . Den började som en intern adventskalender som involverade alla bandmedlemmarna i låtskrivarprocessen. Resultatet blev ett omfattande material med mörkare sound och tätare texter som manar till eftertanke i ny epok där lögner blivit till alternativ fakta  och där underkastelse blivit den enda vägen till frihet. Men alltng som försvinner flyter sen iland…..på den andra sidan!  \nNu behöver man ju inte babbla på om skivan som släpptees 2017 men då den var såpass annorlunda än tidigare Babian-släpp så är den värd att nämnas lite extra. För oss på Musikens Hus spelar inte årtal egentligen någon roll alls när det gäller Babian\, för oss är de ständigt aktuella som ett av Sveriges mest underhållande och energirika liveband. \nBabian är ett svenskspråkigt rockband med ett gäng kritikerhyllade skivor i bagaget och mängder av spelningar på sitt samvete. Bandet har blivit omtalade som ett av Sveriges bästa liveband\, nominerats till P3 guld för skivan ”Fullproppad\, listtoppad\, livrädd och uppstoppad”\, spelats flitigt i såväl radio som TV och dessutom komponerat vinjettmusiken till SVT’s program ”Sommarlov”. Babian har spelat på de flesta klubbscener och festivaler i Sverige och dessutom turnerat i Norge\, Finland och Tyskland samt uppträtt på Roskildefestivalen. Däremot var det extremt längesen de besökte Sveriges musikhuvustad Göteborg\, men lördag den 1:e februari är det äntligen dags!   \n \nSTILLA HAVET – på scen 23.00\nI början av september hörde jag Stilla Havet för första gången och jag blev såld på direkten. Den 28:e September hade Showdown äran att boka in deras releasefest för nya plattan ”Brinnande Horisont” som passande nog släpptes dagen innan. Självklart fick vi inte nog. Det var ett intimt gig på Hängmattans lilla scen\, som må vara en underbar o charmig scen men som dock kändes på tok för liten för ett band som Stilla Havet. Man måste vara självkritisk som bokare o “Gör om\, gör rätt” ekade i mitt huvud efter releasefesten. Därav bokade jag dom illa kvickt igen\, men nu uppe i konsertlokalen.  Om du  tillhör den skaran som påstår att jag är manisk och näst intill besatt utav Stilla Havet så överbevisar jag dig gladeligen genom att lämna över ordet till den här skaran recensenter:  \n”Så förbannat jäkla bra” – Gaffa  \n”Deras syntetiska postpunk är perfekt uförd” – Nöjesguiden \n”En av året bästa svenska popskivor” – Zero  \n”Deras i särklass starkaste släpp” – 482 Mhz \n’Brinnande horisont’ är ett kondensat av känslan när livet rinner mellan fingrar som spärrats upp för att försöka fånga drömmar och lycka. Det är tyvärr en feeling som är rå och kall.” Säger Elias Eriksson  \nHyllade debutalbumet ’Början på ett slut’ följdes upp i höstas med Pyongyangtriologin\, en EP framdriven under atombombshot\, några intensiva dygn i Nordkorea. Sen landade Stilla Havet tillbaka i vardagsmelankolin på Ringvägen och tvingades ta tag i spruckna läppar och relationer\, tomma drömmar och de sociala mediernas självbedrägeri. Jakten på nya känslor\, och omvärldens tvång att slipa ner alla starkare förnimmelser än lättnaden över att allt ännu inte krossats\, krockade och resulterade i stoffet ’Brinnande horisont’ bygger på. \n”För femton år sen satt August och jag i en ockuperad lägenhet i Gomel och slevade i oss svampsoppa på väg till en hemlig punkspelning i en vitrysk fabrikskantin tolv mil från Tjernobyl. Leadfoot Tea plays guitar\, drums and sings\, while Månster Månsson plays harmonica and slide guitar. The duo have been playing since mid 2019 and have recorded a full length LP which will be released April/May on Beluga and Heptown Records. A 7” EP is planned for release in late 2020. The songs are moulded in the style of wild juke joint blues from the 40s and 50s but have been given a more up to date trashy feel. The sound gets way down and dirty as the duo blast through covers like ”Rock ’n’ Roll Blues”\,  ”Courtin’ in a cadillac” and ”My babe”\, and wild originals like ”Hitched”\, ”Shake and boogie”\, ” Mean tomcat” and the weird and spaced-out ”Bo Diddley in space”. These crazy blues brothers are no strangers to the wild and weird world of underground rock’n’roll. Leadfoot Tea is of course a one man band on his own and also one half of ghoulish rockers Thee Gravemen. DESCRIPTION:Magtens Korridorer (DK) – ett rockäventyr\nÅr 2005 publicerade Magtens Korridorer albumet “Friværdi”\, och sedan började det som skulle bli ett rockäventyr. Med enorma framgångar erövrade de fem herrarna folkets hjärtan med en rad låtar som tog över vardagen och gjorde den till en fest. Kritikerna använde ord som “Magtdemonstration” och “Dansk Rocks Nye Magthavere”. Sedan har ytterligare fyra album och en uppsamlingsutgåva med de största hitsen levererats. \nBandet har turnerat intensivt genom åren och är nu extremt etablerade på den danska livescenen. De har besökt danska klubbar och festivaler många gånger och med en allt större och större publik. Kanske för att konserterna alltid mynnar ut i en stor fest med ett band som tar hand om publiken och ger publiken en paus från vardagen. \nSupport: BABIAN (SE)\nBabian är ett svenskspråkigt rockband med fyra kritikerhyllade skivor i bagaget och mängder av spelningar på sitt samvete. DESCRIPTION:Vet Hut släpper albumet “Med munnen full av hat” och firar detta stort på Grand med Releasefest. Vet Hut sedan starten 2013 släppt tre EP’s och etablerat sig som ett synnerligen stjärtsparkande liveband med bejublade framträdanden på bland annat Malmöfestivalen\, Garageprojektet i Hammenhög och Debaser Strand. 2020 är bandet bokat till Close-up båten\, men många fler spelningar under 2020 är att räkna med. Den nya fullängdaren spelades in under fyra svettiga junidagar i Southsound Studio med Calle Fäldt bakom spakarna. Med det tidigare materialet bakom sig kändes steget naturligt till de nya låtarna som bandet beskriver som både snabbare och hårdare.
