Dada 36 was formed in the early 80s. To begin with as a side project by the members that at that time all played in other bands. The idea was to try to take new paths in punk rock and the music was inspired by the Dadaist movement and bands like Siouxie and the Banshees, Killing Joke and Chatterbox. Soon Dada 36 became the main focus and it was as important as life and death until the end of the 80s.
