In 2015 Celtic punk rockers Finnegan’s Hell made their first appearance at Woodstock Festival in Poland – the biggest open air festival in Europe. The gig was a huge success and Finnegan’s Hell was voted “best foreign band” by the audience, meaning the sharp-dressed gentlemen were invited back to perform on the main stage in 2016. This time some 100 000 people came to see the show.
Few Celtic punk bands have the ability to get 100 000 people to pogo dance, or to sing along to songs that have not even been released. Finnegan’s Hell managed to do just that at Woodstock, and to celebrate pulling off that stunt the band is now releasing the EP “Live at Woodstock”.
The live EP features the furiously fast drinking song How Am I To Make It?” and the crowd pleaser “Coal Mine” – two tracks which give a foretaste of the new album from Finnegan’s Hell to be released this fall. Last but not least the band’s classic instructional song on the proper way of bringing up a child was added to make the EP a tripple Celtic punk treat. “Jar Of Porter” that is. Enjoy it loud to a pint of plain!
